Coaching

Our Coaches

We are a club that are fortunate to have such a good coach-to-member ratio so are able to help more of our runners throughout the year.

This is one aspect to consider when looking for a running club that suits you. Yes, there are the routes and how friendly the group is, but also what levels of qualified experience can you rely on whilst you are there. We believe at CRC that our runners come first and in this, our leadership team do all we can to help our runners in any way we can.

Coach Katie

Coach Katie specialises in beginners to middle distance. She uses her skills as a sports therapist to focus on injury prevention as well as rehabilitation.

“I love seeing people enjoying their running and improving, whether that’s being able to run 5k, be able to chat while running or complete a marathon.”

Coach Chris

Coach Chris specialises in long distance running and preparing for marathons and ultra marathons. As a seasoned runner at long distances, he uses his experience and knowledge he gathers from other ultra runners to be able to help coach and guide runners stretching themselves to these distances.

“Through listening to other experienced runners and analysing my own experiences, I’m able to coach and guide runners taking on longer distances, whether it’s on roads, trails, or through boggy cross country.”

Coach Rich

Coach Rich specialises in helping new runners get started on their journey, and also helps more experienced runners with the psychological challenges that we encounter when running. Breaking challenges down into achievable goals.

“There’s nothing better than helping new people get started doing the thing we all love. Seeing them grow and develop their fitness is a real joy to see. I also enjoy coaching others about the psychological challenges and how to get one over on our minds as we look to push our bodies to new goals.”

Our sessions

We are fortunate at CRC, we have 3 coaches who all have different specialisms and learnings from our years of running experience. Our coached sessions have variety and fun elements, as we look to improve our techniques, our mindset, performances, and also run with our members and help them improve, achieve or just enjoy their running.

If you’d like to be at a club that has three coaches that are wanting to help you with your running, then Carleton Running Community is here for you.
